2018 Community Grants Program

We are pleased to announce the details of the upcoming 2018 Community Grants Program, which will open on February 26.

Under this program local Charities and Not-for-profit organisations are encouraged to apply for a Community Grant from Turramurra and Lindfield Community Bank® branches for upcoming projects, programs or equipment.

The Community Grants Program is now in its 10th year and has provided in excess of $350,000 in grants across a large number of community groups in that time.  This program not only helps individual groups reach their goals but has a lasting effect on the strength of the Ku-ring-gai community as a whole.

Karen Hickmott – President of the P&C at Cromehurst School commented on the program: “The Community Grants program enabled us to complete an important project quickly and see results that will be long-lastinfor our community.  The program is exceptionally well run and the information night was a great way to learn more about the process as well as network with other community organisations.  We would like to sincerely thank the Turramurra and Lindfield Community Bank branches for undertaking this program, for continuing to support the Cromehurst community so wholeheartedly and would recommend participation to any community organisation requiring financial assistance”

Cromehurst School was one of eight deserving Not-for-profit organisations that were awarded grants in 2016 under the program. The $5000 grant Cromehurst received was used to kick-start fundraising for the senior students new playground equipment.

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter also received funding under the program in both 2015 and 2016. Funding was used to purchase office equipment and run an in-house employment program for homeless women.

In 2016, a total of $26,206 was granted to the eight deserving community groups, taking the amount to over $350,000 since the program began.

Giving back to the local community is a vital part of the Community Bank’s® philosophy and is a fulfilling part of the job for management and staff.

If you work with a local Not-for-profit organisation or charity or know someone who does, please encourage them to attend our information evening to learn more about this rewarding program.
