Turramurra and Lindfield Community Bank branches have been long time supporters of the local RFS. In 2013 the branches drove a major community project to raise funds to build a new headquaters for the Ku-ring-gai Rural Fire Brigade, with $100,000 raised by the community and a further $100,000 donated by the Community Bank branches.
Now the newly formed Killara Bush Fire Brigade need our help.
Killara Rural Fire Brigade was established in early 2018. The service will focus on the southern end of Ku-ring-gai municipality – the suburbs of Killara, Lindfield, Roseville and St Ives – In an effort to better protect the community from fire and other emergencies in the high-risk area.
The Killara RFS were recently a pivitol support unit for the South Turramurra fires in Canoon Rd.
As the newest brigade in NSW, and with the most devastating bush fire season upon us – vital life saving equipment is required for this new service.
